At NYCM Insurance,
we’re big believers in work-life balance. As much as we love our jobs, we also
know that everyone has a lot going on outside of the office. Between job
responsibilities, family, home chores, hobbies and all of the tasks in between
- it can start to feel like a lot!

consider ourselves a family, but we also know you have a family waiting at
home.
We’ll be the first to tell you that we
have a good time at work! We enjoy what we do and we like who we work with.
Truly, we’re all one big family. But we also realize that everyone has a family
at home. Whether it’s visiting your relatives out of town,
having dinner with your parents or spouse,
or making it to your child’s school play on time, we recognize
that these moments are precious; that they’re fleeting and should be enjoyed.
We work so that we can have the best life with our families.
We
recognize the need to re-charge.
Part of practicing wellness is realizing
that we all need time to take a step back and do the things that we enjoy.
Doing so helps us refuel and recharge our internal battery and sustain energy
so that we’re able to get through our workday and everything that comes after
without becoming burned out.
Prioritizing work-life balance also means
having more time to take care of your physical
health. This means different things for different people,
but for most of us it means committing to those yearly appointments with our
physicians and dentists, getting enough rest and relaxation and taking the time
to shop for food that will fuel us through
the week.
We
believe in the pursuit of passion projects.
At NYCM Insurance we hire people that
have a fire for life and spend their time doing the things that they’re
passionate about. We’re proud that many of our employees spend their time
outside of work volunteering, giving back to
charity, running their own side businesses and pursuing the hobbies
that they love. We recognize that we’re all given one life - and we want our
employees to live them fully!
Taking all of these factors into account,
we’re proud to end our business day between 4 and 4:30 pm every day, allowing
everyone plenty of time to take care of what matters most after leaving work
for the day. We also offer all of our employees the option to make up time when
possible so that no one has to sacrifice their vacation time for appointments,
illness or one of the many things that life throws our way.
We celebrate 12 paid holidays as a team
and allow for employees to roll over their unused vacation time into the
oncoming year.
